The Kdam Eurovision in short known as the Kdam is the Israeli national preselection of the Eurovision Song Contest. The competition was first introduced in 1981. Israel has won the Eurovision Song Contest three times. Izhar Cohen and Alphabeta in 1978 and Milk and Honey in 1979 took part in the Festival HaZemer VeHaPizmon, emerged as winners of the preselection, and went on to win the Eurovision Song Contest. Dana International, the Israeli winner in 1998 was chosen in an internal selection contest and not at Kdam.

The Eurovision Dance Contest 2007 was the 1st Eurovision Dance Contest a dance entertainment co-production between the EBU and the BBC. The first ever pan-European dance competition was held on 1 September 2007 in London, United Kingdom with the participation of 16 countries. Viewers cast their votes by telephone and SMS text message voting on each couple's two dances – the first being ballroom or Latin with the second being freestyle, with a "national" flavour. The first ever winner of the contest was Finland who received a total of 132 points. 2nd place went to Ukraine 3rd to Ireland, 4th to Poland and 5th place to Austria.

Eurovision: Your Country Needs You was a BBC TV show broadcast annually to select the United Kingdom's entry into the Eurovision Song Contest. The show had previously gone under several other names, including Festival of British Popular Songs, Eurovision Song Contest British Final, Great British Song Contest, Eurovision: Making Your Mind Up and Eurovision: Your Decision but was known for most of its history as A Song for Europe. The most recent name and format was adopted in 2009, but since 2011, the UK representation has been selected internally, resulting in Your Country Needs You being suspended.
